TTI's new DVB-C set-top box provides Pay TV services and revenue security solutions

TTI (Tatung Technology Inc.) has announced the long-awaited TDB-3311 DVB-C set-top box which has been officially rolled out.

The compact and cost-effective DVB-C box includes PVR Customized Electronic Program Guide (EPG) design, and the Verimatrix CAS cardless solution. It is equipped with both analogue and digital audio and video output that supports HD video resolution of up to 1080p60 and crystal surround sound.

Further features include High Performance System and Application, with a high-end Central Processing Unit that runs at 1100+ DMIPS; embedded 8MB NOR and 128MB DRAM; 2D graphics accelerator with alpha-blinding; and HDMI1.4a with HDCP. TDB-3311 supports flexible video codec selection, rich audio codec selection and one QAM/IP streamer.

TTI has also entered into a partnership with Verimatrix DRM and Cardless CAS in order to provide the operators with a turn-key solution. This solution will allow the operators to deliver their content via different means, securely, with one single source for rights management. Operators will have access to a whole host of features that Verimatrix DRM and Cardless CAS have on offer.”
