BT has added new features to its BT TV app, this includes the ability to download and access content on the go, including BT TV App Extra, a feature that offers additional benefits such as access to a range of TV platforms including Samsung Smart TVs, Apple TV and Google Chromecast.
Now customers are able to download, play films and box sets, which have been purchased or rented from the BT TV Store on any device through the BT TV app, giving them a huge range of films and box sets that are easily accessible at their finger tips.
Users can now easily purchase programmes direct via their set-top box or BT Player and use the app to access all their purchases, rentals and subscriptions in one place.
BT customers are now able to play content on up to four registered devices through the BT TV APP Extra. This content can be played through Samsung Smart TVs, Apple TV and Google Chromecast are the current supported devices in which customers can play content on, with Amazon Fire TV to be added in the near future.
Those who use the TV App Extra will now have access to purchased and rented content such as the enhanced BT TV app, in addition to these features users are able to download and play their subscription on demand, and catch-up content, this includes full access to AMC and BT Sport. The BT TV App Extra is available for an optional £5 extra which is on a monthly rolling contract.
