Our governing board is comprised of experienced industry leaders from around the world. DTVKit is led by knowledgeable members who advise and steer, bringing their own experiences from the market to keep DTVKit current, relevant and most importantly to the benefits of the member community. Phil Evans, Managing Director

Phil has held senior roles in engineering, sales and marketing for several hi-tech companies for the past 40 years. The last twenty years have been specialising in TV and set-top box industries, in both the broadcast and IP domains, including Philips Semiconductors.

Joining DTVKit as Managing Director in 2015, Phil had been involved with the setup of DTVKit. His primary role is to grow the membership of DTVKit, to develop it as a commercialised product, and to build an ecosystem of partners delivering services and additional functionality based around DTVK

Amy Cleary, Board Secretary

Amy is a senior level marketing professional beginning her career within the Digital TV and set-top box industry in 2010 at OBS (Ocean Blue Software Ltd). Her understanding of B2B marketing, with previous positions in both digital and print media, led her to the start-up organisation DTVKit in 2014. With a keen interest in the development of open standards and software, Amy keeps DTVKit running smoothly focusing on business and marketing strategy, operations, public relations and member care.

Paul Martin, Board Member

Paul Martin has spent the majority of his career in the semiconductor industry, specialising in Digital TV (STB and TV) for the past twenty years. He held a number of senior management positions, including roles in marketing, corporate strategy and R&D management. Paul Martin joined OBS as CEO in 2012 to expand the executive team and drive the business forward into its next growth phase, which included the founding of DTVKit.

Paul Cox, Board Member

Paul Cox has worked in the semiconductor industry for twenty years, driving transport and demultiplexing technologies at STMicroelectronics, before setting up the European development team for Broadcom in 2005. Paul has been instrumental in the architecting and delivery of almost all major new Set Top Box projects in EMEA during the past decade, and understands the difficult solutions required to bring a complex system together. Paul was a founding member of the DTVKit governing board, identifying early on a need for a more open broadcast stack solution that would help with integration into the next generation of hybrid app-driven platforms.

Richard Smith, Board Member

Richard is CEO of EKT and a veteran of the industry, known for his extensive knowledge and bringing together partners, customers and ideas. With his passion for product innovation, manufacturing, commercial modelling and finding the right people, Richard is committed to DTVKit’s roadmap and technology partnerships to create a DTVKit product that is; exciting, fresh, relevant and cost effective.

Rob Suero, Board Member

Rob, a 30-year telecommunications industry veteran, is VP of Broadband Connectivity at T-Mobile, delivering a world class High-Speed Internet platform for broadband devices. Prior to T-Mobile, Rob was Head of Technology at RDK, driving the industry’s first standardized software that provides a common framework for powering customer-premises equipment for broadband and video devices. Rob also worked at Liberate Technologies and SeaChange International, industry leading set-top middleware and video on demand providers. Rob holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in computer science from the University of Central Florida and is an outdoor enthusiast enjoying biking and hiking.

Glee Abraham, Board Member

With a background of over 25 years in the Consumer Electronics/Telco industry spanning leaders such as Samsung Electronics, Tata Elxsi & Comcast, Glee brings rich experience from his work on Digital TV, Set-Top Box and Broadband CPE software development and partner engagement. As Head of Technology at RDK, Glee helps drive standardized software that provides a common framework to power over 100 million customer premises equipment for multichannel video programming distributors and broadband service providers.
